Veral Lloyd Klein

Veral Lloyd Klein went to be with his Lord he loved and served all his life March 18, 2018 at Hospice House in Spokane. Born on January 20, 1929 in Spokane, WA to Linas and Willah Klein, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene and Dwaine, and loving wife Lois Grose Klein. He is survived by his three daughters: Yvonne (Rob) Crumley of Medical Lake, WA; Cindy (Steve) Robertson of Cincinnati, OH; and Patti (Michael) Bishop of Edwall, WA; five grandsons: Eric (Julie) Robertson, Ryan (Ashley) Robertson, Jason (Jill) Bishop, Brett (Angela) Bishop, and Grant (Jessica) Bishop; and twelve great-grandchildren. Veral graduated from Edwall High School in 1947 and went to Whitworth College a year during which time he met Lois at First Assembly of God Church. They were married April 2, 1949, and moved to the farm in Edwall, enjoying 63 wonderful years together until Lois died in 2012. After 43 years of farming, he officially retired in 1991 but continued to help Mike. Veral loved building things, and over the years he remodeled or built all the buildings on the farm. After restoring his 1950 Nash, he enjoyed being part of the Pacific NW Nash Car Club. He served on the Edwall School Board, Reardan-Edwall School Board, Lincoln County Wheat Growers Association, Eastern Washington Bible Camp Board and Church Board at Davenport Assembly of God, where he attended 49 years. He helped develop and build Silver Lake Bible Camp. Veral had a heart for Missions and was Missions Board chairman at both Davenport and Lake City Assemblies. He was involved in music all his life, singing, leading the church orchestra, and playing the saxophone, even participating in his grandson's high school pep band at Christian Heritage School. A man of integrity and wisdom, he will be remembered for his remarkable abilities, gentleness, love and faithfulness in serving God and others. We will celebrate his life at Christian Heritage School in Edwall, WA on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at 2 p.m. following a 1 p.m. graveside service at the Edwall cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cheney Funeral Chapel on Friday, 5-7 p.m. Donations may be made to Christian Heritage School or charity of your choice.
