Jacqueline Rae Tee

Our wife, mother, and grandmother Jacqueline (Jackie) Rae Tee, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, after a long and heroic battle with cancer. She passed peacefully while being prayed over, held, and surrounded by her family. Jackie was born in the doctor’s office in Fairfield, WA, to Charles and Carol Hahner. She graduated from Liberty High School (’68), Washington State University (’72), and later Eastern Washington University. Jackie married her high school sweetheart, Bill (whom she met in grade school), in 1971, and they remained at each other’s side for the next 54-plus years. Jackie was a natural leader and loved to serve her hometown community. She served several years as a manager of the local grain co-op before pursuing a degree in accounting and working in Fairfield as a CPA. She moved into banking and worked as a branch manager before being called back into service by the local grain co-op. There, she oversaw the construction of the McCoy Grain Terminal outside of Rosalia, which serves the farmers of south Spokane and Whitman counties. After “retirement,” Jackie continued to serve on several local boards, numerous charities, and was very active at her church. Jackie loved playing the piano and taught many children in the local area how to play. She also enjoyed gardening. The beauty she created with each will be remembered and cherished by our family forever. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed swimming in her pool with her grandchildren and taught them all how to swim. She was always up for a game of pinochle, and was also an avid golfer, traveling near and far to find new courses to play; she loved to experience the highs and lows of competition with those closest to her…and whoever else was willing to partake. Jackie is survived by: Husband: Bill Children: Mike (Becky) Tee, Rob (Amy) Tee and CJ (Tiffany) Tee Grandchildren: Alyssa (Max), Michaela, Peyton, Avery, Hayden, Kellen (Juliana), Connor, Keegan and Charlee Siblings: Ron (Marie) Hahner, Tim (Judy) Hahner and Ann (Dennis) Crain Siblings-in-law: Bobbie Jo Tee, Larry (Jan) Tee, Patty Tee and Cheryl (Mark) Tee. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jackie was laid to rest in a family graveside service at the Latah Cemetery on July 27, 2026. To honor her true farm-girl spirit, a celebration of life will be held after the crops are in the bins this fall. Tentatively scheduled for Sept 12, 2026.
