Dorothy H Glore

Dorothy was born Nov. 28, 1923 in Missoula, MT. to Eric and Caroline Anderson moving to Spokane two years later. She attended school at Emerson, Havermale Jr. High and graduated from North Central High School in 1942. Dorothy worked at Galena Supply Depot (Now Fairchild Air force Base) during the war from 1941-1945. She met her husband, James C. Glore, when he was stationed at Ft. George Wright. They married in 1947. She worked at Deaconess Hospital and Medical Service Co. for many years. She and James owned property at Deer Lake and spent many enjoyable summers there. Dorothy enjoyed fixing up the lake place and bowled on leagues for many years. She had many lifelong friends and spent much time enjoying her granddaughter, Kimberly. Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Anderson, and husband of 44 years, James C. Glore. Dorothy is survived by her son, Steven C. Glore, and his wife, Kris, of Spokane; her granddaughter, Kimberly R. Durkee, her husband Scott, and her great granddaughter, Virginia R. Durkee, of Oregon City, OR. and her stepson, James L. Glore, and his wife, Cheri, of Spokane. A special thanks to the staff at Royal Park Plaza for their kindness and help and to Maureen and staff at Horizon Hospice for their support and understanding! No service will be held as per Dorothy's request.
