Tonia Marie Carruth

It is with great sadness that the Carruth family announces the passing of Tonia Carruth at age 45 on February 15th, 2021. In a matter of a month, Tonia complained of back pains, which was quickly diagnosed as ovarian cancer and after an operation, one dose of chemotherapy, she was gone. Tonia was an amazing wife, mother, and friend. She was so very personable, caring and she was selfless. She was one of the most thoughtful people you would ever meet. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a good heart and she was so very fun to be with. She loved going on walks with her dog, Ruger and she liked being outdoors. Tonia was born on August 21, 1975, to Eddie Dixon and Debra Chalmers in Talmage, California. Tonia decided to serve our country and went into the military right after high school. She was in the Air Force from 1994-2001. She was an Information Management Specialist for the 92nd Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane. During her tenure in the military, she received numerous awards and accolades. Tonia took part in the Iraqi No-Fly Zone Enforcement Operations. On April 24th, 1999, Tonia married the man of her dreams, Aaron Carruth. They were the perfect couple and had so much in common. In January of 2002, she gave birth to their beloved son, Dylan. In February of 2006, she gave birth to their beloved daughter, Braelynn. Dylan and Braelynn were her pride and joy. This family was inseparable and they spent quality time camping, traveling, and having get-togethers with friends and family. They were the consummate family. Tonia was so easygoing. She enjoyed her alone time and she enjoyed watching her favorite TV series especially horror movies, reading a book, baking, and cooking. She loved the holidays, playing games, and just having fun. She enjoyed life.
