Jacqueline Joan Christian

In the early morning of February 12, 2022, Jacqueline Joan Christian of Cheney, WA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and left behind the troubles and pains of aging for the joy of the Lord. Jackie was born to Bill and Gertrude Berg on November 4, 1938. She and older brother Connie grew up in Great Falls, Montana—where her heart always remained. She attended Great Falls High School and served in the Army shortly after. She had many interesting occupations through the years, for a time singing in a band and was even a dance instructor in her younger years. She worked most of her career in the banking industry as a loan officer. Her greatest achievement, however, was raising and being the loving mother of four rowdy boys, two of which went before her—David Christian in 1992 and Jerry Christian in 1999. Jackie accepted Jesus as her Savior in 1984 and was baptized at Temple Baptist Church in Great Falls where she was a member and even the church secretary for a time. Jesus was the joy of her life. She had this written with her own hand on a notecard in her Bible: “When thou lies down, thou shalt not be afraid; yea, thou shalt lie down and thy sleep shall be sweet.”—Proverbs 3:24. She had many interests including collecting antiques, painting ceramics, playing her keyboard, and reading a good mystery. She also loved the holidays and enjoyed decorating for the different seasons. She had a green thumb and her house was always filled inside and out with beautiful plants and flowers. She loved all animals, especially dogs, and had many fur-babies through the years. Jackie was preceded in death by her father in 2001 and her mother in 2004, by her aforementioned sons, her brother, Conrad Berg, in 2020, and her grandson, Jeremy Christian, in 2021. She leaves behind two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Jaymie Christian of Great Falls, Montana, Mike and Darla Christian from Cheney, Washington, a granddaughter, Jenny Schneibel Love, a grandson, David Christian, and three great-grandchildren. Jackie was greatly loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing that her earthly trials are behind her and a joyful eternity lies ahead.
