Our History
Located in the town of Cheney, Cheney Funeral Chapel was established in 1992 by Mike and Skip Rossey to offer families unique funeral services in one location. Built from the ground up, and independently owned and operated, Cheney Funeral Chapel is a family run business dedicated to providing the best service possible to our clients. With an on-site Crematory, Chapel, and Reception Hall, all of our business is taken care of at one location, keeping the process simple for families.

Mike Rossey Funeral Director
Mike has been the original Owner and on-site Funeral Director of Cheney Funeral Chapel since it's opening day in 1992. He came to Cheney from Spokane, Washington, and built the funeral home from the ground up. Mike has been in the funeral business since 1988 previously serving families in Savannah, Georgia, and Portland, Oregon early in his career. Since 1992, he's enjoyed serving the Cheney community and surrounding areas including Spokane, and looks forward to many more years of service.

Jacob Rossey Funeral Director Intern
Jake has been working at Cheney Funeral Chapel since 2015. A Cheney resident his entire life, Jake has grown up around the business and is excited to start his career at his family's locally owned and operated funeral home. Jake attended Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA, and has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 2019.

Holly has been a part of the family business since 2004 with duties including clerical, funeral preparation, and social media marketing.
